Sickies

I'm cold and achey and my guts are not cooperating.  Being sick with "stomach" issues sure takes on a whole new meaning with a surgically altered digestive system.

At least puking doesn't really happen for me.

What kind of surgery did you have? Because I had wicked food poisoning a year ago, and I puked like a water fountain for 12 hours. I have no trouble at all throwing up. I had a proximal RnY.

A standard RnY. I know I can throw up, I've done it before. Twice. Once because I dumped and the second because I ate leftover steak that was too dry and I couldn't process it. I've had a stomach bug a few years ago and couldn't throw up no matter how much I wanted to. The hatch just wasn't opening. I had crippling gut pain though.

There were ladies in my nutrition class that had the same surgery as I and they can throw up though. I think it's just me more than anything.
