This is the one public entry I will have, because I think others should see it.

I would just like to say THANK YOU to those that voted for Bush.

I appreciate you voting away my right to get married and choose what to do with my body.

Really. No sarcasm at all.

And if you're proud of this, and that you voted these rights away, then I pity you. I hope that some day, a close friend cries on your shoulder for hours on end ( Read more... )

You are allowed to have your own opinion in your journal Steph, and I am allowed mine. Please respect that, and if you have anything you want to say of importance concerning it you are more than welcome to state it and I my rebuttal. If all you are going to do is huff and puff about a debate that is ocurring, I'm asking you kindly to refrain from posting. Thanks.

I'm sick of explaining myself. I don't even know what to say anymore because no one seems to listen.

Just because we have our own strong opinions, doesnt mean you cannot have yours. Why is it that you don't listen to us...?

Opposing views is nothing new, and while the two sides listen to each other, very often both sides have their views for a reason.

It's not that "we dont listen", its that we don't agree. Think about it. How frustrating do you think it is for Kerry supporters to see these people voting for Bush and thinking Bush supporters arent listening to them?

Welcome to society.

"Two women or Two men together have more love, understanding and committment than 2 straight people will /ever/ understand because they know what its like to be pissed on. "

While i agree with most of what you have said that part bothers me a bit ... gays might know what it's like to be 'pissed on' but it doesn't mean that because your straight you aren't able to feel as much commitment , love and understanding as people who are gay. it varies. Maybe you won't be able to have as much empathy but i'm sure not everyone is so close minded.

but i get what you mean ...

dorkiee - i agree ... i think the bible can be interpreted in so many different ways - there isn't just one straight out meaning to it - it's more complicated than that. like life is i guess.

i guess the concept of 'true freedom' was never taught to bush ... i'm sorry - for what it's worth ... basically nothing.

Hillary CLinton and Kerry wouldn't be running against eachother - they are both democrats, and no matter what happens in 2008, the worst president in history will not be able to run again ( ... )

if you listened to the debates, Kerry did vote to raise taxes 50 times, the other 600 times - he voted against it. He was in there for 20 years remember. But you can't compare the work of a senator to a failed President, there is a huge difference in power

Bush is the biggest fuck up this country has yet to see. And if people don't believe it now, they will see it within the next 4 years. It's impossible not to be worried about the draft when two countries are already taken out their troops. And what does that leave...a handful of other countries fighting there? And not to mention the fact that they keep sending in troops that have already served their time. And another thing, did you count on social security when you retire? Well, with all your money in the stock market, you can just forget about it then next time it crashes. Not to mention the economy...sure it isn't affecting all these wonderful people with jobs, but what about us college kids that can't seem to find one when we get out? This kid I used to work with from AC Moore had an engineering degree and still can't find a job. And he's been out of college for over a year. And if you're going to blame higher tuition costs on Kerry, what about the "No child left behind act"? I believe that has something to do with it, ( ... )

Thank you! I completely forgot about the absentee ballots in Florida! Not to mention the registered felons who have had all rights stripped from them.

I'm curious to see when those absentee ballots show up, and if they do... who got the majority of the votes. I havent seen anything on it, but has anyone seen how much Bush won Florida by? How many votes?

gays never had the right to marry so there would be nothing taken away from them they just wouldn't be given the ability to do so

Their right to be equal is being taken away from them, and that is something America was founded on.

hillarypride November 5 2004, 17:44:53 UTC
Exactly. Equality rights would be taken away.

Well, I stumbled upon this entry by reading through my Friend’s Page and finding out in one of Stacy’s entries that someone had a huge comment turn out. I then find an anti-Bush entry along with 63 comments, and couldn’t resist seeing what the fuss was about ( ... )
