On Sunday I took the metro to Cleveland Park, picked up some photos and frames and then rode the train back to Columbia Heights. After dropping those things off at the apartment, I walked to Mt. Pleasant, bought some picture-hangers at a hardware store, took a meandering route to 11th and Park, bought some iced coffee at Columbia Heights Coffee ( Read more... )

this whole entry just affirms my idea that the less you show, the better you look! and no one even asked if you were russian. speaking of cute look things, I really need a pair of boots, where'd you get yours? obviously they're cute if pseudothugs and middle-agers alike approached you!

I do kind of miss "YOU RUSSIAN?" Wait--no, I don't. What am I saying?

I got the boots at Diversity Thrift! A few years ago. This probably doesn't help you, and I apologize. Finding good boots is pretty hard, man. Especially in the off-season.

After my two days here, I have some things to say:

1. my campy friend lives in Columbia Heights, too! After we left this weird big-game-hunting-slash-tiki-bar themed place tonight none of the cabs would take her home and I thought - is Columbia Heights like the Brooklyn of DC? Like in that episode of Sex and the City where Miranda moves to Brooklyn and none of the cabs will take her there? AND you kind of remind me of Miranda in some vague ways like your hair color, SO IT IS ALL COMING TOGETHER NOW.

2. I think people were calling at you because you are a good dresser and in my wanderings I have seen precisely 1 person (except you) who was dressed well.

3. Tonight this guy passed me on the street and was all HEY GIRL YOU SHOULD SMILE IT'S A BEAUTIFUL SATURDAY NIGHT, EXCEPT IT'S FRIDAY NIGHT, BUT COME ON! I was very indignant and thought: how did he know I never smile?

4. See you tomorrow!

having watched every single episode of sex and the city, I now realize that you do bear a stunning resemblance to miranda's personality and hair color.
