The thermometer is reading 70*. The golfers are out in force across the valley at Grandview. The birds were singing this morning. I had the windows open yesterday. We had a wonderful Christmas with both of our families. Little Larry loved playing Santa and passed out everyone's gifts. He enjoyed his own presents, too!

In the past week, I've attempted two new foods that I've never tried before, and I was pretty impressed with the results. The first was pheasant, which turned out exceptionally well in the crockpot with onions, mushrooms, and a can of cream of mushroom soup (though I should have used two cans - game birds can be dry). 1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? How about paper bags? I won’t say I haven’t done it, nor the comics section of the newspaper neither. Gift bags are easier, but wrapped gifts look nicer, I think. Also depends on the shape of the gift.

Yesterday was a busy, but good, day for Little Larry and I. First, we went to see Dr. Lambore for Larry’s 2-year check-up. He did surprisingly well considering his past performance there, and actually played trucks with the doctor at the end of the exam. Larry surprised everyone by hugging Dr. Lambore before we left.
