Aw, sorry lovey. :( At least you're understanding. Still hard though. As for seeing your mother - it's a funeral, but you should still look all uber-hawt and show her "Pfffft! You fail." Y'know?
I'm nervous for you, but glad that it's not too much of a shock for you. My dad's dad died when I was pretty young, so it wasn't so shocking to me, and then his son (my uncle) died four years later (same day, I think) but I was still pretty young and didn't know him that well, either... so I haven't really experienced any family death (just Buddy's friend Ted, which was a weird experience because I hated him. Still bawled over it, though, so imagine when someone dies who I actually LIKED x_x) My grandpa just turned 90 a few days ago, though, and although his older brother is still alive, I mean... I will just be really sad when they go :\
And good luck on seeing your mother. I say follow Mindi's advice lol
I'm sorry for your loss. My grandfather just barely survived his prostate cancer. If he survived as a Marine in WW2, I guess it would take a lot to kill him.
