I barely get any well wishes, so don't feel down about this. Gigsville certainly has it's "cool kids club."

What Jovino said. I've been pulling away since after the first Ocean Pines year. There are very few gig-folk that I see outside of gig-events. There are even less people who initiate any contact with me. But, to be fair, I never initiate anything either.

I'm proud of all the changes you've made in your life. You seem a lot happier. I'm glad you had another birthday *hugs*

Yeah -- I rarely get any either unless I initiate them myself. It's the way it is.

But then, I've been outside the glass for a decade, so I'm not much of a ruler to measure by.

if it makes you feel any better, after about year... 5? the people who had been i my life when i was drinking who actually mattered started to come back into my life. but i had to sort my own shit out first. *shrug* friendships go in cycles anyway, in my opinion.
