Когда источники в разведке подтвердили CNN правдивость отдельных сведений в британском досье, они подчеркнули, что речь идет о разговорах между российскими деятелями.
Не совсем понятно, о каких именно разговорах идет речь. Один из интересных моментов, упомянутых в досье - роль Сергея Иванова в спецоперации и его неожиданная отставка с поста Руководителя администрации президента РФ.

Following the backlash against such foreign interference in US politics, IVANOV was advocating that the only sensible course of action now for the Russian leadership was to “sit tight and deny everything”.

Я был знаком с человеком по фамилии Гордиевский. Если его, конечно, можно назвать человеком. Не скажу, будто его позорное предательство и переход на сторону британской разведки поломали мне жизнь, но определенные проблемы по службе возникли, факт. Грубо говоря, Гордиевский меня заложил. Потом я выезжал в зарубежные командировки, но по другим географическим направлениям. С тех пор к изменам отношусь с особым отвращением.
