[There is a Gyarados on the screen. Bouncing. Up and down and up and down and- You get the picture. There might also be a squealing Clefable somewhere on top of said Gyarados, but with all that bouncing it might be hard to tell.]

I was already familar with TMs, but that move tutor also knew a surprising number of abilities, compared to the one in ( Read more... )

making plans, bounce bounce bounce, feeling the need to move, actually happy, tms for everyone

I've always just picked out a move that's outside their usual set when it comes to tutors... I had Hina learn a flying type attack, while Sony learned a rock type. They're kind of situational, but it's nice to have them up their sleeve if you need it!

And other trainers never expect them. Who would have thought an innocent Delibird could know Seismic Toss? Or that an Arcanine could make good use of Aerial Ace?

--ah. Well... I know the latter now, since that's what I taught to Hina and all...

Suddenly, Ground-types are not so worrying anymore, are they?

It is... bouncing?

Indeed he is. It turns out that Bounce is the name of the only Flying-type attack a Gyarados can learn.

[ Giggling. ] It really odd to see Gyarados bounce like that.

But it looks really fun.

It does indeed, though I suspect Edges would now disagree. I wonder if they sell Gyarados-sized saddles and reins?

Rosie and Noelle are perfectly fine, but I doubt Edges will try that again anytime soon.

[She laughs a bit.]

Best way to learn is by experience, I suppose.

Well, his lack of arms did unfairly disadvantage him. Otherwise he'd be doing just as well as the girls.

[ Someone looks tired, somehow. Also he still has a bandage on his nose, though the swelling's definitely gone, leaving behind only a hint of redness. ]

We've had delays, but we're getting there. I need help tiling the bathrooms, sanding and polishing the floors and fixing up all the lights. After that--cosmetic stuff. I could always use some help.

[Cecil does his very best not to stare worriedly. He's only about fifty percent successful, though.]

I can certainly help with that. You'll merely have to show me how. Even the girls might be able to help, should they choose to come.

[Except Rydia won't. *sobs*]

It's all easy. I'll show you anything you're willing to learn.

[ He sees that worried look, but decides not to comment on it. ]

Good. I intend to learn quite a lot. I think I've picked up more new skills in this world than I had in the last fifteen years.

[Ah, the joys of free time.]
