Olympics rant

I don't really get this.

How is "shooting" a sport? I understand archery is a sport, because obvious arm strength is needed to pull the darned bow. But shooting? With a rifle? What does that take, good eye-sight and hand control....? It makes less sense than car racing as a sport.

Maybe I just need to try shooting to see how it's a sport :3

no.. archery isn't a strength kind of sport.
oh, well, i'm not any shooting/archery expert or anything, but archery is more of a discipline type sport, where the the goal is to be consistent and repeat the same steps over and over precisely. that is how archery and shooting is the same.

also, just like you need strength to pull the bow in archery, in shooting you need strength to lift the gun and take the recoil.

OK that's my take, bla bla bla.
Yes!! someone watching the olympics, too!! I ask everyone and people generally say "no, too boring" or something (-_-;

Recoil is probably really... O_O

I once shot a crossbow, and like almost blasted someone's head off because of the recoil. I'm assuming guns are much worse. >.>
