Oh god Kurt, I just want to hug him and keep him safe from all the awful people. But it looks like Puck is going to do that job for me. I love how it took this shock to make Puck realize how awful he has been to Kurt.

This scene was really really tense, I loved it.

This one was a tough one to write! Puck's a difficult little bugger. I'm glad you liked it! :)

"Come here," he put an arm around Kurt's waist, feeling the other shy away from his touch. "I'm not going to hurt you," he promised. "And I'm not gonna talk anymore either."

I LOVE this chapter. It is now in competition with Jesse's chapter for my favorite. Love love love. Puck is so badass, I love it!

Woo! I'm glad you liked it. I wasn't sure if I made Puck realistic, so I'm really happy you liked it. :)

I got busy with RL and suddenly realized I've missed this fic series! So glad to see that Mike & Puck came after those two SOBs. Each of them are learning so much through the Day of Silence, but this encounter has taught Puck such a strong lesson. Bravo.

Thanks! I really liked writing this one for that reason, Puck's learning a lot. And beating up Karofsky. :)

If you're going to break your silence on the Day of Silence, this is how to do it.

Wonderful, wonderful job with a character that can be very difficult to capture. Puck is NOT always a nice guy--as you have him say, he can be a whore, an asshole, and a Lima-loser, and we certainly know that he can beat people up. That being said, it makes sense (in my mind anyway), that while he may be a pugilistic asshole at times, if he's on your side, then he's YOUR pugilistic asshole. He's got a sense of right and wrong, even if it's different than some peoples. (I think in Puck world, beating people up is entirely acceptable, provided they deserve it.) In other words, there is a good person underneath the brashness, and I think you did a fantastic job of bringing that out, while still allowing him to remain in character.

*Also, while this story was extremely dark and tense, I admit to laughing out loud at the line, "No wonder Matt never talked. This kid could ramble like nobody's business."

Puck was another one that was hard to figure out. I wanted to make him a good guy, but nowhere near a goody-goody type. I'm glad I found the happy medium! Thanks so much! :)
