To be honest, canon Will gives me fits. I alternate between absolutely adoring his character and wanting to throttle him but good. Your Will falls firmly on the "adoring his character" side.
This chapter really played up the best about Will's personality, and how much he cares about others. His brother, the kids... he doesn't give a second thought to helping them. That's why it hurt so much to see Sue's venom directed at him: if there's one thing he wouldn't deliberately do, it's to mess around with those kids.
(Is it wrong of me that I love how you snuck in the "Sneaky Gays" phrase, though? "Sue Cs it" for the win!)

And I'm so glad you liked Will in this. I want to smack that man with a wooden spoon most of the time, so I like writing him in a way that makes him more of a caring, fatherly type educator.
