This does not surprise me in the least.
Lots of these "charities" are really just mission-work in disguise.
I've even encountered local charity groups who will *turn away* those who need their services because the individual in need is not christian enough.

see, these are the things that make me consider xtianity a wholly flawed philosophy. even people who follow some of the weirder and harder philosophies out there are capable of following basic tenets of said philosophies.
