yup, got laid off about 2 weeks ago! I feel I have crossed some sort of milestone of life.

thanks... it was the company my former boss told me to look into and he even called them and gave me high recommendations. unfortunately, since they are in the same field as my former employer, and I hated my former job, it's boringtown, USA.!

All the new people got laid off b/c regional upper management is taking the company in a new direction and they had to adjust allocations to other divisions. My boss almost cried. Yeah, it comes in fits of "ha ha" and "oh shit", consecutively, oftentimes in the same day. I'll be alright. Thank you Unemployment Insurance, I owe my care to The State. My 8-5 job now is sitting on the computer looking for a job. The only thing is I don't want to move, I really like this area and want to stay here for a while. Plus, I can't stand the thought of packing all this stuff up again and looking for another apartment in another city. I have a few leads I hope will come through. I'm sure I'll find a job eventually. At least I'm out of Redding, I am extremely grateful for that.
