Character's Name: Syaoran.
Series: Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle
Timeline: Tokyo Arc, vol 15, chapter 112

Canon Resource Link: Wiki article for the series. The section on Syaoran covers mostly the "real" Syaoran, so if there's any doubt regarding the story, just let me know.

Personality: Having been "born" as a seven year old kid with no memories of the past, Syaoran used to be really quiet and unexpressive, unable to understand simple things such as how to thank people, and not being able to smile. But thanks to his father, and specially to the kindness and friendship of Princess Sakura, his true personality slowly developed. He grows up into a very polite, kind, caring, shy, and sometimes naive 14 year-old boy. Extremely curious and intelligent, he's fascinated with archeology, and loves to learn and discover new things.

But Syaoran's most defining trait is his determination; the entire series revolves around him (and, eventually, the other Syaoran) having to "do what he has to do", and how he keeps moving forwards as he tries to achieve his goals.

What your character can offer: This Syaoran doesn't possess any magic, unlike the other versions of him. However, he does possess strength above that of a normal human. He seems to be able to deal with a lot more pain than most people ever would; he's been stabbed, burnt, had arrows thrown at him in canon and he just keeps going. He can also fight quite decently with a sword, having been taught by Kurogane (meaning his style is mostly japanese?), but his preferred method of fighting is usually one that consists mostly of kicking.

Other than his speshul shonen hero fighting skills, Syaoran also loves history, books and investigation. Having a great capacity for learning, he's been taught by his father about different cultures and is always fascinated by any new things he can read or learn about. If you ever need someone to spend hours doing research on ancient, almost indescipherable books, he's your guy! He also seems to be a little familiar with a few languages (he probably knows old, dead ones, mostly) and is shown to be capable of reading the roman alphabet.

A special note should be made for the times in which his heart "shuts down". This doesn't happen often, but when it does, Syaoran can be a much stronger fighter than usual (probably because he stops caring about hurting others, or himself), and can't feel any pain.

What items will they be bringing with them? Just his clothes. And the bandage on his left leg (I think it's pretty obvious why he needed it).

Third-Person Sample:

This was certainly not the way in which Syaoran had expected to be awakened.

He remembered sitting down next to the bed Princess Sakura was fast asleep on, Mokona curled up by their side. He remembered the rain, still falling outside, the sound it made almost soothing, if you could forget for a moment that every drop only helped erode the desert-like land even more. He remembered watching over Sakura, hoping that she'd stay asleep for as long as possible, so she wouldn't have to see the dozens of corpses laying at the entrance of that building. He remembered the stinging pain in his leg, and how he'd began to feel tired and dizzy, the early symptoms of a fever affecting his consciousness. In the end, he'd allowed himself to rest his eyes for a moment, knowing that Kurogane and Fay were watching over, and if anything happened, they'd surely wake him up.

But they hadn't. As he stood in the desolated city, alone, holding a strange device in his hand, and without a clue as to how he'd gotten there, he could only wonder how had he managed to sleep through whatever it was that'd happened. Wouldn't he have noticed, if Mokona had taken them to a different world? Syaoran thought of the incident in Lecourt's library, and how he had no memories of what had happened the moment he'd retrieved Sakura's feather. Had the same thing happened again? Had he somehow managed to leave the building he was in, and reach some other location within "Tokyo"? It didn't make much sense. The others had been with him. They would've stopped him, wouldn't they? They would've noticed something was wrong.

Looking down at the communicator he was holding, Syaoran shook his head, trying to get rid of those thoughts. Whatever'd happened to lead him to that place wasn't so important. He'd have time to figure that out. Right now, he needed to locate his companions. He had to make sure that Sakura was alright.

His mind set, he turned the device on.

First-Person Sample:

[Fumbles with the communicator for a few moments before figuring out the audio option] [Why hadn't the person who left it thought about leaving a manual?]

Ah, I think that's it... H-hello? Can anybody hear me? There was a note saying I should use this... I'm not sure who left it or why, but if anyone's listening to this, can you please tell me what happened? There're people I have to meet with.

[His voice sounds more firm, and a little urgent, this time] It's really important.

[The audio cuts off there, he's now trying out something else]
[Text]
~ # % * -- A a B b ----- [Okay, this works]

Kurogane-san, Fay-san, can you read this? Is everyone alright? What's going on? I thought we were going to stay back in that building.

[Pauses for a moment, then quickly adds the following] Princess Sakura, if can read this as well, please, stay with the others. I'll be right there.

Ten sentence minimum. First person is what we'll be seeing in the character's personal journal. Samples do not have to be set in Discedo!
