Tako looks super cute. I love the snow flakes on her hat!

One of my other Singapore friends told me she wants to go up to the arctic circle and be pulled on a dogsled! I was like, "okay, but you get do that without going that far north.". :)

A few years ago when I was in Toronto for a November meeting, Even though it was freezing, I noticed that the Canadians there were walking around without gloves on and the women even had open toe shoes on - those Canadians are tough!!!

A Singaporean friend of mine had a project in October in Beijing - she had never been that far north before. To make matters worse, the place where she was staying at wouldn't turn on the heat until later in the month! Plus, she didn't like the northern Chinese cuisine (other than the Beijing Roast duck). So she told me she had a miserable time! On top of all this, she had to go back up the following year!!! I felt sorry for her!
