Charts the course of Hermione's relationship with Snape from the end of her sixth year through her first year as a teacher. (They are not involved romantically while she is a student.) See the first page for a more detailed summary, author's notes, etc. For those who've read MoH elsewhere, I will note that the "extra" chapters now appear in the course of the story, rather than as separate short stories, with the opportunity to skip them for those who don't want to read the higher rating ("That's What I Want for Christmas," "At Last," and "Alone").

Hermione, now a teacher at Hogwarts, is in the library, reading a book and minding her own business. Severus is on his rounds. When he sees Hermione sitting there, he mistakes her for a student. A confrontation ensues.

[instead of a summary, I am posting the most memorable quote from this story that I couldn't take my mind off. I can just imagine Snape even saying this too. It was brilliant. Takes place during Hermione's school year but brilliant. This is my favorite Snape/Hermione story that I've read.]
“Well?” spat Dumbledore, rising up and leaning forward over his desk. “You see, Hermione, he is incapable of - ”
Where Dumbledore’s blazing blue eyes had been boring into her, everything went dark, as Severus’s billowing black robes slapped her in the face. He crossed the room like a raging storm and with a snarl, slammed his sallow fists down against Dumbledore’s desk as hard as he could, making the Pensieve jump on the spot. “Everything, you old fool,” he breathed. “Everything.”
Taste of Silence [rated pg-13]
[Complete] Rather than submitting to the power of Veritaserum, Hermione makes a drastic decision. Hogwarts staff wonders how to help her afterwards.

Voldemort is back, and almost kills Severus. Hermione is the only one who can save his life. But it's only the beginning of a new relationship...and the war against Voldemort."
So there you have it. A list of well done Snape/Hermione stories. These are personally my favorites, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for good reads because during my major obsession with this pairing, these were some of the stories I found.
