I don't think you're sociopathic..I think that as a Virgo, you're probably acutely aware of a)what someone needs to do to change and b)whether there is any hope of that happening. And rather than waste effort trying to encourage the impossible, you simply move on. And sometimes that's painful, but you have to think of your own sanity first. Maybe some space/distance/time is in order? I'm a great fan of not talking to someone who's pissed me off until I feel confident that I won't immediately turn into a murderous, incoherent, shrieking harridan.
I third that--when the first Great Mass Exodus to Cali went on, I wasn't sure I would *ever* talk to Kat again--but she called me when she got (back) here and everything's been cool ever since...
The only advice I have (besides what's been given here) is to think about what that person(s) means to you overall--and if they contribute to your life/wellbeing in some way: forgive them. Life really IS too short to walk around carrying grudges (LORD KNOWS they've given me an osteoporitic BACK! ;))--and forgiveness really isn't about *them*. It's more about *you*.
As Panda (of ALL people) explained it to me: "Forgiveness is saying, "I'm no longer willing to allow this issue/problem/incident to take up any more space in my life. I now put the responsibility of keeping this issue alive on *you* (the affecting party) and give up any attachment I previously had to it.""
