Indiana: I am so proud of you as a state for actually being able to look past a man's race and actually vote for hope and change instead of fear and moose hunting. Seriously, I wouldn't have thought it possible for you to have ever gone blue, especially not with that meaning that you voted for a black man... the Indiana I once knew has matured ( Read more... )

*LOL* Yeah--given the number of "BLUE" messages left on my phone Weds AM, I knew SOMETHING momentous had happened...

I know now, though, that the End Of The World IS coming--after all, in 2012 Indianapolis has the Super Bowl, London has the Summer Olympics, and the GOP is tinkering with the idea of Sarah Palin being able to run for President.

If all that don't signal "Apocalypse", I don't know WHAT would!! ;D

,...off to find me a moose to hunt...;D

I am really glad you posted about this. The election results left me feeling bitter-sweet. We took a couple steps forward, truly forward, and then a very large step (or two, or three) back.

Still, I am optimistic. We have elected a man who, I believe, is going to lead the country in turning things around for the better. Maybe this will ultimately include the turning over of ugly, hate ridden propositions.

On a side note, kind-of: A couple of years back, my Dad was stopped at the post office by a man with a clipboard who was trying to collect signatures in an attempt to secure the ban of gay marriage. My Dad, loudly: "What? Are you serious? I had to get married! If I had to be married and miserable then I think gay people have to be married too! It's only fair. What's next? Gays don't have to pay taxes?!"

I miss you guys and am thinking of the both of you, often. xxoo
