You know whats scarier than having a MySpace page? Tracking down all your high school friends and realizing that they're exactly the same as they were when you graduated 7 years ago. Seriously. There are no drugs in the world to make that bearable. But there is Betty Crocker Microwave Fudge Brownie in a Bowl and Scary Movie 2 on TV. That'll do ( Read more... )

What's wrong with them for not changing? Or is there something wrong with us for changing?
It's...odd, and glad it's not just me weirded out by it!

I don't know. It seems really odd that so many of them are still the same. But maybe they're just not interested in making themselves better individuals?

No, you aren't the only one. What really weirds me out is to see people who haven't changed one bit say that they're married and already have a few kids.

Hmmm...maybe. It's just quite...boring. I mean, why be the same person you are in high-school? High-school (for us anyway) regulated so much about a person, you'd think they would want to break free afterward and become who they want.

That weirds me out too. Thankfully, none of these girls have gotten married/had kids yet. I dread the day that they do...

That is really scary. Have you gone to a high-school reunion yet? Those are really freaky.

No, no high-school reunions. Our 5 year reunion was on the same night that I came back from traveling OS, so I didn't go. Glad I didn't, and I doubt I ever will unless I was tripping.

I think yeah, they have matured, but essentially, they're the same person. Which, I suppose, is fine. But I've changed so much, I want different things, I am a different person, someone who wouldn't be friends with them. Drifting apart is part of life, I guess.

No probs! Welcome - I added you back :)
