New Year Reflections

It's funny how we're starting something new yet my mind is on circular time is.  As I was reflecting on past New Years, I found myself thinking what New Year's was like when we were "in the same place" a few years ago.  Of course there is much that is familiar about this season, and the seasons do repeat, but I don't want my focus on circular time ( Read more... )

and those actions, like the sectoring of the Arab remains of the Ottoman Empire after WWI echo down through time affecting us all today.

Years come and go, people grow and change, but thats the beauty of it. What didnt work, or went wrong can be learned from, and new lessons will be learned, and a chance for new beginings, and Hope for the future! Truth be told tho, we can only live NOW. Yesterday has already happened and tomorrow hasn't come yet.

I have lots of memories from new years....I remember the first one after my mother died...I was in Costa Rica with a person I had just barely met, having the need that year to get out of NYC after 9/11 a few months earlier. I didnt tell any of my family I went. I just did. It feld good to *escape* for awhile...
