Tentative excitement

Have now fired off all the character sheets for the re-run of the Dragaera LARP. Am now hoping against hope that folks will read their character sheets and ask questions.

I believe that the average character packet contains something like TWELVE pages of material. We may have gone insane.

On the other hand, I think it's really Brustian.

larp, dragaera

One think to remember: the organization to which your character belongs encourages the wearing of uniforms, rather than House colors. I usually picture said uniform to look something like German landsknecht gear from Renaissance Faire, in the colors of black on black.

While I am constantly surprised by who among my friends knows whom else, yes, we know britgeekgrrl well; I've known her and her husband for, oh God, something like twelve or thirteen years, I should think, minimum. Perhaps longer. Her husband, as my wife maintains, visits our home at least once every two weeks. iamradar is known to us as their roommate and friend, from parties and events over the years.

To Pixiecrack: I met them through Ben WIlson, and I count them as friends now. They do LARPs so I figured you might be aware of them. Just wanted to make sur.

To Purchasemonkey: At one time I was listed in the top 100 science fiction fans in the bay area, but after the '93 worldcon, I sort of got out of it all. But I still have interests in those areas and wouldn't mind playing a LARP (or even writing one) someday.

Meanwhile, I have to be satisfied with writing opera synopses (see the latest post on my LJ).

Is twelve pages counting the other handouts, or just the character packet itself?

I got all the handouts and my character sheet. I was wondering if my 3-page character sheet was particularly brief, or par for the course.
