Out of the woods and into the smoke

I started writing this on the train. Normally I would not engage in writing so soon after finally being released from school, but something about the infernal rocking of train compartments puts me in a thoughtful mood. Usually this can be easily remedied by a stroll out into the hall to see what's going on in the other compartments, to check ( Read more... )

I would advise you against unwinnable games and to refocus your attention on that which is truly important and within your hand's grasp.

I have hoped that since Recent Events, the candles might burn faster and thus hasten a new dawn. Alas, they have stayed at their own limited, listless pace. I am displeased.

I had noticed the unpleasant smoke surrounding London, myself. It's a good thing we have charms to get rid of it in Wizarding London and at home, so it doesn't reach us.
