"Why's the apostrophe gone?"

"Because it's a often misused contraption that requires common sense. Most people don't have it."

"Yes, but why's the apostrophe gone?"

Ya know, after watching the 2nd Pirates film with you, I remembered not being impressed with the first film (granted, I had not seen it until it came out on DVD and after friends had been talking it up for a good 6 months). I think that after watching the 2nd film, I realize that the "Pirates" series, is just plain bad. Aside from Mr. Deep saving the first film with a very interesting character, the acting is bad, the plot is bad, the action is nonsensical, and it was created after a roller coaster. I know I might incur the wrath of your words or the wrath of your friends, but I think I might be right.

The first movie was cute. It had snappy dialogue, Johnny Depp, AND Geoffery Rush. However, it was NOT the end all, be all of pirate movies. I never understood why so many people worshipped it. OR how so many people could overlook that the second movie had no cute dialogue, no decent (or realistic fight scenes), and no Geoffery Rush. (Though I do give props to Bill Nighy because he rocked that octopus face!) The second movie lost everything that I enjoyed about the first movie, and it was overlong. In conclusion, I will see the third one, only because it will be completely ridiculous, and I hope to see all my friends when it's over and hopefully they will have come to their senses and found their taste.

PS: Is it wrong that I didn't want to go on a date with someone because they only watched war movies and didn't know who Paul Giamatti is? *sigh8

it is not wrong. not at all. if they only watched war movies, i would be afraid of just being friends with them and being alone with them. i think you made the right choice :)
