There was a library, but it burned down, I think. And I'm afraid you're already showing far more ability with the PCD's than I can manage, even after all this time.

And now, in a blur of red, Bran suddenly breaks his attention away from the scarf and begins to charge across the floor at Tom like an angry bull. He takes a small, fluttery leap for the armchair and then...

Merlin snatches Bran out of the air by his tail, pulls him back against his chest, and hisses something distinctly unhuman at the squirmy dragon, which appears to calm him down instantly, though he continues to glare at Tom over the edge of Merlin's arm.]

[You are very lucky Merlin grabbed you, Bran, because Tom instinctively raises his wand to blast the thing backwards -- but stops himself from uttering the curse by sheer restraint. He exhales slowly to himself, but pauses, looking up sharply at the noise --

Could it be? No, of course not, Tom would understand it if it were -- but that was not human -- and it sounded so very much like -- ]
