[There is the sound of soft hissing near the PCD -- it sounds very much like a snake -- but only one individual in Adstringendum will be able to decipher what is actually being said.

Tom sounds particularly venomous today, viciously angry, but the only sounds that come from the PCD are faint, hissing, soft bits of Parseltongue.]

-- I dropped it in some water earlier this morning. It hasn't yet dried out properly. I don't want to risk using magic on it when magic and technology don't ... mesh very well together.
