It was amazingly easy for Riley to drop what he was doing in order to make his way over to Parker's because he really wasn't doing much of anything but hiding up in his room, listening to overly sappy music and putting his emotions into a okay-at-best song he'd been writing.
He silently walked down the staircase, no desire to call into an obviously empty house (the girls, Liz, and Will were out for the day at a birthday party for one of their friends). Glancing around the living room, Riley picked a crayon off the floor and quickly scribbled a note down on a sheet of parchment, setting it above the mantel where he was sure his.. parents... would see it.
Sighing, he tossed a pinch of floo powder into the fire before stepping in to make the short trip to his friends home.
