IT'S REALLY TOO BAD THEY HAD TO LET PROFESSOR GRUBBLY-PLANK GO AFTER FIFTH YEAR; I QUITE LIKED THE OLD BIRD, FOR SHE ALWAYS LET US PLAY WITH AND STUDY THE ANIMALS IN CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES, RATHER THAN THAT NEW BLOKE, WHO ONLY LETS HARRY POTTER TOUCH OR VISIT WITH THE REALLY BRILLIANT CREATURES IN CLASS, JUST LIKE THAT HAIRY OAF HAGRID DID!!!! I

Many people don't realise the milk of the Jackalope has medicinal value -- you have to milk it when it's laying belly-up, though, which can be difficult.

Jackalopes are also very cunning creatures -- when given chase, they are known to sound out, their call almost identical to the sound of a human running and shouting 'I think I saw it go that way!' or 'No, not that way, this way!' A live Jackalope has never been captured by a Muggle.
