so im in the process of convincing my madre to let me get my belly button pierced..im so close! she said shes worried about my sensitive skin and that it'll get infected, which is a chance...but who knows? im goin to try and look stuff up tonite about it, so that way it shows that i really want it and are mature about it. so does anyone have any ( Read more... )

i have 11 piercings... including my belly button.

after getting all of them.. i can truthfully say.. that getting your belly button pierced does not hurt much at all. You bearly feel it... seriously.

as for the part of convincing your mom.. thats kind of a hard one. Parents seem to care about this alot.. just tell her that you will take care of it very well.. and if it gets infected.. that you will take it out or take care of it till it gets better.. just promise her that you will take good care of it.

the girl that used to live next door to me always had so many problems with it. she said if she didn't spend so much money on it, she would take it out. but it always got infected even though she cleaned it all the time.

i had another friend that hated it because it ALWAYS got caught in her bed sheets and would basically rip at her stomach every night. also in the shower with the towel. she said it became a painful investment in that way, not so much getting it done.

however, i know a ton more people that love it. if it gets infected, then oh well. you tried. but msot people i know say it doesn't hurt and its a wonderful thing.

the mom thing -- well, don't do what i did with teh tattoo (i didn't tell mom for over six months that i got it. whoops). just be responsible about it. parents usually give you the benefit of the doubt as long as you keep it in your shirt and they're not forced to look at you cleaning it all the time. :)

just thought i'd let you know your friend sxyshedevil332 is fake. even though she has those "salute" signs you dont even ahve to look very closely to tell she has photoshopped them. if you look at her most recent one you will notice that the part that says "i'm shannon" is in slightly different color marker. and in the past you could easily zoom into her signs and see she would white out the real girls name and add hers. she was actually kicked out of almost all the rating communities she's in a few months ago because of this proof. the real shannon who cheerleads lives in texas ! NOT CANADA ! just thought i'd let you know.

Hey, you don't know me. I found you on a random LJ search. I got my navel pierced 6 years ago. I'm the BIGGEST wuss i know...(i fainted WATCHING my friend get her ears pierced) I can't even THINK about needles without getting grossed out. Not to freak you out or anything, but I fainted when i got my navel pierced. But i think that had more to do with my mindset about it than the pain factor. It's a good thing I fainted though, because I heard (from people who've stayed awake during it) that it hurts like a bitch. But if you can get shots, you can do this, no problem. Actually, I bet it hurts more AFTER than during. Just be sure you don't gunk it up with handsoap cuz that causes it to get infected real quick. Your best bet is to just put an antibiotic ointment on it a couple times a day and make sure you twirl the ring through the piercing to keep the skin from attaching to the ring ( ... )
