Azel can, like the Sky Rider in Panzer Dragoon, transmit images stream-of-consciousness style, telepathically. canon is a little vague on whether she really displays this ability to Edge in the intro of the game, but I assume certain specialized bio-engineered weapons (such as Lagi and, as shown above, by his Sky Rider, who is assumed to be a drone) are built with this power, possibly to expedite communication between dragon and rider
note for the psychics. Azel's mind is a clinical and cold place. she has a lot of guilt and angst. she'll most likely be thinking about finding Edge, finding another link to Sestren, and finding the other Towers
