Since I made this icon, it's not as pretty as the ones kawakun or cynbaby have made for me. *pout*
So, anyway, I should have known that any book violet_quill suggested that I read would be crammed full of angst and sad things, but LIKE A FOOL I went and started reading Kushiel's Dart because I've been hearing about it for ages. Hell, one of my most anti-sex former friends read the thing and liked it.
And it's true, it's good. It's true, I really like it.
The thing I should have expected but totally didn't see coming was MY TWO FAVORITE CHARACTERS DYING HORRIBLY HALFWAY THROUGH THE FIRST BOOK.
