Two - Tell Them Who You Were

Styx was right. Mother’s Day is the stupidest holiday to ever exist. Exactly why is it that half the city gave their mother’s gift certificates to take self-defense lessons for Mother’s Day?

I’m debating whether this is reason enough to go after my boss. The only good thing to come of this is the slight raise in paycheck. Not sure if it’s worth it ( Read more... )

commercialism, styx, self-defense: they're going to need it, !ic, !002, !text post, mother's day, mortals and their idiocy, raise in paycheck

Teaching the lessons? I think I have enough time for it, just not enough patience.

...do I know you?

You can delegate, which I can't.

Oh right, now it comes back. You're one of those Greeks, aren't you? From that war over Nelly or what's-her-name.

Do you really want me to send the anger your way, Styx? Because really, I'm at that point.

Probably because they need the protection, given the state of the men around here.

A face I can recognize and stand.

They should have learned it sooner in any case. And why would all the men have fucking given it to them then?

They should, but not all can afford to. It's strange living in a place where even your fists can have monetary value.

Because they want their wives, mothers and daughters to come home safely? Or perhaps they were hoping they'd grow a spine.

Seriously? It should become required, like with the Spartans. Learn it early, learn it young, and don't have the problem of dealing with it when you're too old to lift your arm right.

They should just teach them their selves. Save the money, and my patience.

Why not? At least someone with more patience should be in charge of them.

Thanks.

Not much. Me - and fine? Styx and I are just having a fight, and that Achilles kid is annoying me. I just need to leave the apartment for a week or so until Styx starts posting her poetry on here.
