Summary: Sephiroth appears at the ball--is it the real one? Or just a puppet made of part of Jenova? (This one isn't the real deal--sorry! But it IS a physical manifestation and can be interacted with.) *NOTE: Feel free to comment here to indicate Sephiroth-sighting and reaction (non-confrontational action). If confronted, he will not necessarily harm that person unless challenged to battle.

Sephiroth, too, had been invited to the gathering. Although disinterested in such a decadent event, he was interested in the vast amount of people who would be gathering. However, most of these people were not infected with Jenova, and it could not properly be considered the Reunion just yet. But the time would come.
So he decided to send 'himself' to observe the event and used one of the vials of Jenova in order to fashion a physical copy of himself. Then he sent it to the party to observe people, count off identifiable enemies, and to seek out candidates for Jenova infection.
He'd felt no real need to hide his identity and presence. If people knew and identified him, they could consider it a warning for the things to come.
With that, the man in a black cape appeared at the ball...
