Having broken up with the one person who meant everything in a world like this, the shinobi tried to keep his mind off what had happened. He had admit that something had changed, and it was something that Rikku herself (after being infected with Jenova) refused to admit and didn't want to believe. But he was honest, and that immediately doomed their relationship. He'd paid the price. If he could just forget, he might've wanted to were it not for the fact that it would've been the epitome of running away from reality. Again. No wonder he was pinned for a sin like sloth.
So he'd decided to simply go for a walk--maybe he'd randomly meet someone who could take his mind off things for a little while. After all, it wouldn't be the first time; he could remember the first time he'd met Marina while searching for Rikku. If he ever ran into her again, he'd get to eat turnips again. Come to think of it, he'd been wanting to do that with Rikku...
...and that's where that train of thought should stop.
Kakashi found himself walking a little faster while wandering aimlessly through the city in search for something to do. Hopefully there'd be someone walking by with groceries, or maybe someone just needed a passerby to pull off an odd job of sorts. No matter what it was, the ninja just wanted to be kept busy, something to occupy his mind and distract it from headache while he attempted to heal from heartache.
