------
The silver-haired man was on another one of his rounds through the lower level--he never really stayed in one place very long. On rare occasions he would drop by Euphemia's place or Sunde, but he didn't normally spend very much time in the city for the sake of its people. If something went wrong, Sephiroth would not like for the city to be easily accessible; it was very easy for the former general to cause devastating damage, after all. It was just as easy for his mind to snap like a toothpick and for his god complex to overwhelm him into attempting dominion over the world.

However, there was a buzzing, unintentional chaos traversing Schuldig's connection and into Sephiroth's mind, and he knew that something was very wrong. Nevertheless, he reminded himself to stay calm; the past week or so had gone fairly well until he'd heard young Schuldig crying in his mind--which was rather awkward, but the former general managed to deal. (One would be surprised how good he was with children...) Perhaps it was by virtue of childlike innocence and how most children hadn't any purely evil intentions.

But his mind felt the familiar *snap* with Schuldig's connection going down, and the former general couldn't help but wonder what was the matter. Meanwhile, a familiar heat rose in his body; he fought to control himself, but the mitochondria again acted with a will of their own. Before he knew it, he was already setting off in search of someone -anyone- to cut down, to kill, to slaughter and offer up to his 'mother'. Giving himself a mental shake, he reminded himself that Eve wasn't his mother and that she was trying to use him. However, the god complex also began to raise itself up and remind him that he was the one using her--in the end, he would be the one to obtain all the power.

In the end, he was the one who would become a god. And that was all he needed--now, if only to find his first victim.
