Summary: An offhand comment by Riku causes Charles to reveal more about his personal life than he would have wanted.
A cloud of dust rose up from the worn-out cardboard box Riku had just set down, making him sneeze. Even if chevaliers didn't get sick, Riku couldn't manage to stop sneezing from all the dust that had gathered since he and Charles first moved in together. He had decided the room was getting too messy, and had convinced Charles to help him reorganize earlier that afternoon. The dirt smeared old wall clock was creeping into the second hour since they had started, and Riku was already feeling optimistic about their efforts. What he wouldn't give for some nice cleaner, though.
They had passed the first hour mostly in silence, occasionally asking each other where to put things or mentioning what area of the room they were going to start working on. While Riku didn't mind the silence, he felt he ought to be taking advantage of his time alone with Charles, and get his friend to open up to him a bit more. It wasn't often Riku got to learn about Charles's life - he had only gotten a bare glimpse at it back in Vietnam - and he felt that if he was going to prove to Charles how much he wanted them to be friends, he may as well get to know him.
Gently removing dusty hardbacks from the box, Riku stole a glance at Charles. He should probably start by asking about Charles's life here... maybe from before Riku came. He didn't want to get into any touchy subjects too quickly.
"We should ask Muraki-san to help us next time," Riku said, a smile coming easily to his lips. "I'm sure he likes doing this sort of thing."
