Kirk couldn't quite put his finger on it. Strange? Yes. That wasn't a strong enough word, though--or was it? No. He'd certainly been through strange things, but this took said strange things and multiplied it several dozen times over. Unlike many of the citizens of Purgatorium who were either freaking out or wishing things went back to normal, though, he was completely and utterly enjoying it. Purgatorium, as strange as it was, still had the tendency of getting monotonous every so often.
What better way to break the monotony than what seemed like the very fabric of space and time being torn to shreds?
Kirk stood at the bottom of a rocky hill somewhere on the outskirts of the city, about ready to climb up and see what chaos he could see from the top. And then, he would go back and dive right back in.
