"Sorry to keep you waiting," he called out when he reached the area they had decided on, seeing Hallelujah leaning against a tree and tensing just a little bit. He wasn't scared, really. Just wary. Even if he'd gone through a lot in the past six months--hand to hand combat had never been his forte and that wasn't going to change. He was a sniper for a reason.

He looked the older man older carefully, examining how he held himself, how tense he seemed, and even just the look on his face. It was very slightly different from what he remembered, all in all, but whether that actually made a difference was yet to be seen.
"So!" he exclaimed as he walked towards Lyle, stopping several feet away. "Let's see where you stand, puppy. How to...ooh, I got it. Here, simple enough. Come at me." Hallelujah stretched out his arms, smirking. "C'mon, let's see what you remember and what you can do."

"...When you're standing around like this, I almost feel bad."
He shook his head and tried to focus, imagining a monster or anything else that would get him to actually feel like fighting. He remembered his very first encounter with a monster during his previous stay and how he had felt then, trying to hold on to that feeling for a while so he could actually remember how to fight.
The first punch was a devoid of strength and he mentally kicked himself for that kind of failure. He just really hadn't done this in a while and it felt strange to be punching someone he had worked together with back at home. The only time he had punched someone was...
He pushed that memory away and started a second attempt, this time actually putting more effort into it even if Hallelujah would easily block the attack.

He took a defensive stance, not wanting to go on the offense just yet. For now, he just wanted to test Lyle.
