I'm totally going to throw Elle in, too :| snackoo_katonk January 3 2010, 01:55:40 UTC
Well, it seemed that most things were where she remembered them. That was a relief. Ema was too out of sorts to deal with having to wander the streets here at night. She didn't even have her service weapon, for Pete's sake. The detective wandered into the tavern and looked for a free stool, expression dour. She could use a drink after such weirdness.

Hearing the door, he merely looked up from his spot behind the bar. She...looked familar, yet he couldn't remember her name. At least he was sure she had left for a while at least. "Something I can get you?" He asked in an almost monotone voice.

She sat down, drumming her knuckles on the bar in an annoying habit born of annoyance. "Any good beer?" she asked absently. Her mind was still turning over the problem of her disappearance. "How do you get the alcohol here, anyway?"

Reaching down, he pulled out a beer as he thought for a moment. "Mostly, it's given by the 'Gods' to allow us a reason to work." Sliding the glass bottle to her he spoke lightly. "This used to be another's tavern until she left, so some details are blank."

Fay was sitting at the bar in the tavern, sipping at a glass of wine. In the kitchen he had something cooking in the oven, so he was technically working and thus allowed in the tavern. To be honest, he hadn't been planning on a party or even company when he announced his plans to get utterly wasted, but it was probably for the best.

He missed Kurogane, he realised with a start. Kurogane should have been beside him, drinking sake silently. He also missed Tsukasa hovering nervously nearby, Syaoran making sure Sakura didn't drink anything herself- ah, but best not to think about those two. He would be missing them for a long long time, no need to start now. Fay sighed into his drink and chuckled, hearing Doumeki enter but not responding to him.

Spotting the blond, he merely walked past the seated magician to go behind the bar. Grabbing a bottle of Sake and glasses he went back to take a seat beside him. A simple "Yo," was all he used for a greeting before pouring himself a drink.

It was...diffrent finally not spending a holiday with the idiot he had become acustomed to, or the witch attempted to share booze with everyone. Almost everyone he had come to know here eventually seemed to leave. Raising his glass, he sipped on it. Maybe Fay's company wasn't that bad afterall.

Fay smiled lightly at Doumeki. "Hi!" No sense in worrying the boy. "How are you?"

"Hn." He softly made the sound, before gulping down the drink. "Decent," came his reply before setting the glass down with a soft clank of glass aginst wood. "You're doing it again."

As much fun as attempting to torture that telepath was throughout the previous week was, he'd been rather inactive and bored as of late. No Lucy, no whorehouses, no upper class hypocrites to slaughter. Hyde had yet to decide whether he was above mindless slaughter just to keep himself busy or entertained.

Maybe he'd give it a try if nothing else came up.

For now, some drinks would do. He sat at a table in the corner, sipping at a drink he didn't recognize but decided he liked. Nothing like the taverns and bars back in London, he noted. Too quiet. Not enough fights going on. Those were always fun.

Despite being quiet Doumeki couldn't help wonder who the man in the corner was. He couldn't recall seeming him off the terminals, so it was likely he just never paid much mind to his posting. He...really wasn't suited for this "good host" deal, which was the only downside to getting to drink free from this place.

Going over he spoke lightly "...Anything else you need?"

"Other than some entertainment that isn't just the liquor?" He leaned back, stretching his arms behind him. "How long has it been at this place, and the most interesting things are some sort of dungeon and getting handcuffed to someone? Really. Tell me things get better here."

"Usually its more fires and floods, then being chained to people. Sometimes we get a lovely string of murderous creatures as well." His sarcasm was at least to the point, even if his tone didn't change from his normal speaking voice.
