Modly business - a few changes, mini-event and some other stuff I'm probably forgetting.

BEFORE I EVEN GET STARTED- JUST, FYI the second link is some really confusing TL;DR. It might be easier for some players to skip that part and read the quick explanation then go back to the long detailed crap, if they're confused. I wrote it two different ways because I know some people will process one easier than the other.

minievent, activity check, mod post, important

Oh, you and your faces bent on ruining LJ's poor HTML laden brain.

1. Thank you. I can't believe I didn't notice ... the lack of an end date, there. I'll blame the all nighter I pulled on my missing such a ridiculous detail. It's a week. Friday - Friday, as with most events in Purg (unless announced otherwise.) This was totally me being mysterious and not telling anyone. It was done intentionally. Right. ... Sure.

2. The temperature itself dropping will happen over night. At midnight on Friday the temperature will drop to below freezing. Bodies of water, depending on depth and other circumstance might take longer to freeze completely (i.e. the river.) If you want VERY SPECIFIC DETAILS, probably total freeze by Sunday night (you'll have to heat water, if you want it), Monday morning - and start to thaw Thursday. Back to normal temperatures (which, since it's winter isn't much higher than freezing anyway), by sunrise on Saturday ( ... )

We already established that your characters are too antisocial to reach comment quota. Just stick to the two entry method. *pets*

*shot*

Yeah. Basically the point is to just comment around. So, do that. You'll catch on.

Myst seems to be the only one that got it, right away. So far, I'm sure there are a bunch of people who haven't read it yet.

I'm not sure if there should be comfort in the fact that no one else got it, or if we should all be alarmed that the only one who did is the youngest player. Kids these days.

I love you, Ed.

Seriously. I really like this new method of activity check. As long as people...stay off of AC, it should def. increase some activity around here.

As long as it's not too much work, in the long run.

How far below freezing are we talking here? I mean, I know in some countries right now it's -10 Celsius and that's just their normal winter.

Also it should be noted that I am Australian and therefor know fuck all about winter. And the AC thing looks good.

Yeah, that's not normal here, but we can get in that range for a week or two at a time. It's pleasant weather, if you like ... not feeling extremities.

uh. It's cold. Do you people have ice cubes or something? If you hold your fingers against one, you get the general idea - just imagine that .... on your entire body. Stick your hand into a freezer for as long as you're comfortable or something, that's winter.

/shuts up.

Winter sounds so strange. I seriously cannot imagine anything below 10 degrees but I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
