I just got back from Matrix 2... I liked it. The symbolism was buried a bit deeper in this one, and I'm going to need to see it a couple more times before I love it like I loved the first one.

Do you think it's possibly that you just loved the first movie enough, you're convincing yourself that the second movie also had merit?

It's possible. I'm also pretty easy to please when it comes to film... if it makes ME think, or feel, I tend to think it's a good movie. A second-viewing will tell, I'll be more critical, and also able to see if I find that next layer of symbolism I think is buried there.
