Everybody knows - and if you don't know, this is me telling you right now - that the best lip balm ever ever is the Uriage Stick Levres.  It's really the best one.  The thing is, it's flavorless, scentless, and no tinting, so it's more like base moisturizer for my lips than anything else.

I have the exact same problem with my lips. I'm slathering "Burt's Bees lip balm on them all day long this time of year. If I get a touch of a fever they get dry and scabby immediately: it's one of the major signs in me if I've got a low-grade fever, in fact.

But I don't need a fever to need lip balm this time of year.

I'll look for that Uriage stick levres, thanks for the tip!

ETA: Oops, $7 including international shipping. What if I like it and have an international drug addiction? Ouch!

Oh yeah - I forgot to mention: The Uriage stick is french and expensive. It's the most expensive lip balm, someetimes, um,10x the price of say, just a regular ol' chapstick, depending on who makes the chapstick.

My mother sells it at her pharmacy and the responses to the Uriage stick (with its price tag) are (1) the junkies ("I have to have it! Can't live without it!") and (2)the Are You Crazy Paying That Much For A French Import Chapstick people.

I am not the only one with lips that dry fast and flake! How good it feels to know I am not alone!
