The Spending Package (I refuse to call it Stimulus) was pushed through both the House and the Senate yesterday, paving the way for Obama to sign it into law on Monday. When this becomes law (because we know it will), it will be the largest government spending package ever

I'm not exactly thrilled with the stimulus measure, either. Seems like it was too big and did contain a lot of unnecessary pork. Why not start with a smaller package that contains just the fundamentals and see how that worked? You know, a little foreplay to see if that stimulates the economy enough, rather than TRYING TO STUFF NEARLY A TRILLION DOLLARS OF SHIT into it.

Ah, well. I wasn't expecting things to be anywhere near perfect. It is still politics, after all.
