Author's Notes: Set partway thought the anime series. Not sure if timelines do workout for it to be Valentine’s day in the series, but oh well :>
Sunset was always spectacular in the World, especially from this outlook over Mac Anu. Tsukasa looked over the edge and waited to see if his companion would show up. He turned as the air sparkled next to him, and saw Subaru appear.
“I’m sorry I’m late, especially as I asked you here, but my connection wasn’t working properly.”
“That’s alright, it’s not like I have anywhere else to be.”
They sat in silence for a long moment, watching the display put on by the setting sun, just taking in each other’s company.
“Did you want to meet for any reason in particular?”
Subaru looked almost nervous. “Well, I’m not sure if you realise, but it’s February 14th and…” Nervously she offered him some candy “Happy Valentine’s day. It’s not exactly chocolate and only virtual but…”
Tsukasa was surprised, and touched. “Thank you. And it’s not as if I have any use for non-world chocolate in any case. Maybe in a month…” He trailed off, but the message was received and understood. Together they sat and watched the stars come out.
