Was eagerly awaiting this story and just finished reading it.
I love pre-series stories. This was great and heartbreaking. Poor Dean especially, willing to take whatever punishment. I felt so bad for Sammy when John was teaching him how to shoot.
In my mind I really hope John was different. Anyway, thanks so much and can't wait to read more of your writing in the future! :)

If it helps any, I don't think he was like this all the time. I'M just not really interested in writing about the happy little interludes when all of them were playing with a garden hose in Bobby's yard because I'm evil and twisted and I like to see them suffer. :P

This was a very, very, well written story, the insight into John's thoughts was scarily realistic, and disturbing to read.I think someone ,Bobby or pastor Jim, needed to step in and rescue the boys from a man who is losing it on a massive scale.The boys are supposed to be John's reason for living, but I felt a hollow ache at the terrible way he treated Sammy, and poor abused Dean!You could imagine John being discovered in a shallow grave, when the boys are adults, if he doesn't change from being an abusive asshole!
