A random officey poll brought to you by the fact that I can't stand the regular view in Microsoft Word and other people use it a lot. And because I like polls.

I feel that I should clarify a few of these. I don't use hilighters (leftover from school - WRITING IN BOOKS WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN A PENCIL? NOOOOOO.), and I don't know what the layouts are. I like the one with rulers at the top and side with the blue around the edges. I don't know if that's just a Mac thing or whatever, but so it goes. Boss was just complaining yesterday about how she doesn't understand Word (?!). Headdesk. And your, "MLA style!" made me giggle a lot.

The rulers and the blue edgies? Print Layout. :)

And omg, no highlighters? Not even on notes, or budgety stuff or reports? I don't use them in books, but on paper printouts? All. The. Time.

Nooooo. I use pencils on everything, dorkily. Then I can eraaaaase. I like erasing. I'm a tentative, non-permanent kind of girl. /dweeb

I am with you on that, especially books (I hated having color up my book in Lit Crit), but there are things around here that need to be highlighted for various things. At Ripon I had an erasable highlighter, and it was awesome, but I don't know what happened to it. My theory is somebody stole it because I find it hard to believe I would have lost it, since I keep a close eye on such things.
