Will red onion and green peas make a brown soup?

No. I was hoping for the soup to remain particularly green, as is desireable with green pea soup, but I only had a red onion, see, and was too lazy to hoof it to the shops.

It's a kind of dark green now. Still tastes good.

Everything does, indeed, come out brown. However this is sort of mucky green

That's not always true. I made purple pasta once, quite by accident. The red of the tomatoes really exaggerated the purple of the red cabbage, which would otherwise have lost much of its colour during cooking.

I was a good friend of Ange's.

I like many loved her dearly and have started a community in her memory inmemoryofange if there was anything you'd care to add. Memories, messages to family, thoughts or anything.

She lit fires within the souls she touched and brought such happiness to so many.

Thanks. One of my favourite memories was arguing about food with her. I am vegan, she was rabid meat eater. It was amusing.

well all miss her terribly. but its great having this community as a reminder to what she was like.

I dont know if theres anything after life but I like to think there is. and that shell be there laughing at us for getting so upset by the whole thing.

please if you get chance hunny post this story or anything, it def made me laugh and I hope it will remind others who she loved of the cheeky minx she was. The funeral service is today in SA and will be held at 13:00 our time, in case you wanted to have a minute to think of her at the same time.
