[Felucca'a research goes here]purple_haveniteMarch 29 2007, 15:07:40 UTC
Okaaaay, let's have a look see.
"...The heart was historically seen by some as the seat of the soul and the organ responsible for human thought. Even though we now know that the heart has nothing to do with thought or love, people still carry on using the term "heart" metaphorically when talking about love. When used in this metaphorical sense, the heart is often illustrated as an icon (♥).
The term "heart" can also refer to the core or center of anything e.g. "The heart of the matter"
... Well that's no good! I mean, jeez, if the heart's where the soul is then how the hell are we supposed to seperate it?

"The soul, according to many religious and philosophical traditions, is a self-aware ethereal substance unique to a particular living being. In these traditions the soul is thought to incorporate the inner essence of each living being, and to be the true basis for sentience. In distinction to spirit which may or may not be eternal, souls are usually (but not always as explained below) considered to be immortal and to exist before their incarnation in flesh."
...Still nothin' on how to seperate the ol' things though.
