Don't be too frustrated about lack of comments. According to your 'more details' info page you have 50 comments on 30 postings - 1.67:1 - which beats my 1.32:1 ratio (319 comments on 242 posts).

An observation about my livejournal is how different people consistently respond to diffent posts. The people who know me in real life comment on my posts about my experiences, while others only comment on pop culture or political or historical posts. Perhaps posting on a broader range of topics would help your comment ratio?
