"Harry Potter, I swear if you lead me into to a wall, I'll..." Draco threatened as his boyfriend covered his eyes with a blindfold and led him to the outside of their house.

"Don't worry, Draco," Harry said soothingly, "You know I wont lead you astray, I've had enough of your vindictiveness when we were in Hogwarts."

Draco sniffed, "I wasn't that bad, Harry. You make it sound like I was a demon."

Harry snorted, "Draco, you were and still are a demon, however, you have mellowed out quite a bit. Now you're just an unbearable prat."

"I'm not unbearable, otherwise you wouldn't be with me."

"Maybe I just like the challenge." Harry said casually and he leaned down to press a kiss to Draco's neck to keep him from getting insulted.

"Please, Potter, you're with me because no one else could handle your over righteous ways. And why are we going outside? I already know what our backyard looks like." Draco whined as he uselessly tugged on Harry's hands.

"And you're with me because no one else could handle your overbearing bossy, whiney ways." Harry countered with a smile as he heard Draco huffed. "We're going to our backyard because I got you something I think you'll love."

Draco had his mouth open and a retort ready on the tip of his lip, when he felt Harry stop, the hands on his shoulders griped harder, making him stop him as well.

"Here we are!" Harry announced "It she seems to have gotten accustomed here."

"She?" Draco questioned, his voice a little too sharp to pass off as simply curious. Either Harry didn't hear him or ignored the question because he still didn't know who this she was. It didn't matter because his blindfold was finally off and it took him a few seconds for his eyes to get reacquainted to the light.

"Look down," Harry advised and Draco felt Harry's head land on his shoulder and his arms wrap around his waist. He didn't need to look at his boyfriend face to know that Harry had his lopsided grin on.

Draco did as Harry said and the first thing he noticed was the brown and red autumn leaves on the ground, then he noticed the small, white dog in the middle of the leaves, her head tilted up to stare at him.

"Harry...?"

"She's a West Highland Terrier. They origination from Scotland and are better known as Westies--"

"Harry!" Draco interrupted, usually when Harry babbled it was adorable, but this time he didn't know why he was; it wasn't their anniversary, or his birthday and Draco didn't recall if he said or did anything that would make Harry buy him something. Did Harry do something? "Why the dog, Potter?" Draco turned in Harry's embrace, his face impassive.

It took Harry a few moments to get the impaction of why Draco had used his surname and his facade. When he did, Harry immediately tighten his grip and leaned down until their forehead's touched. Staring intently into green eyes, he heard, "I belong to you, Draco Malfoy. I'm not and I haven't been doing anything with anyone else but you."

Draco smiled and threw his arms around Harry's neck and gave him a slow, chaste kiss. It would've turned more passionate if they weren't interrupted by a bark. Draco turned his head slightly to peer over his shoulder and saw his dog barking and wagging her tail as she chased the leaves that the wind blow around.

"So why did you get me the dog Harry?" Draco asked and sighed in bliss as he felt Harry's hand rub up and down his spine.

"I've got another week long investigation coming up and I know how much you hate those, so I decided to get you a pet to help keep the boredom away." Harry grinned and Draco could've kissed him right then, if he didn't feel sudden weight on his leg. Draco looked down and saw blue eyes looking up at him.

"What's her name, Harry?" He asked and bent down to pet her.

"She's your dog, so the honor of choosing her name is yours."

Draco nodded at the answer as he continued to pet his unnamed dog. He felt happy and smiled; it seems things were going to get a lot less lonely when Harry goes away now.
