My Christmas

Jan 01, 2009 21:13

I figured since I hadn't posted in a while, I'd get a case of typing diarrhoea, and just sprout of meaningless nonsense for a while to make up for the absence :)

O Xmas tree, O Xmas tree... )

what a lovely read, thank you!
everything you made is fantastic, that pic of MiniObsi is magical, like a fairy!

your pics are wonderful, you look so pretty

I really want to have some done so I feel pretty, could really need some pretty feeling as I am at a all time weight high (booo) and now it's a choice between weight-watchers and a gastric banding, so guess who is signing up for WW next week, mom will be coming along but UGH for standing on their scale! I'm not even ready to talk about this on my LJ but it seems ok to mention it to you

I have no medical issues as to why I weigh what I do, I just eat too much, it's all emotional issues and it is messing up my health (high blood pressure, joint pain).
wish me well? (light a candle maybe.....)

Thank you :)

I'm pretty large, and it's amazing what they can do with shadow and lighting :) I wasn't expecting to find any I liked, because I normally hate photos of myself, but I have to admit, I think I scrub up ok sometimes :) (and they aren't really all that airbrushed, I can't notice a difference between the preview shots I picked them from, and the finished ones that got airbrushed)

I wish you well with your weight loss. I probably (well I do) eat too much, and don't exercise enough.... but we've just bought a wiifit, and I plan to do 30mins of workouts a day... and get around to seeing my GP to see if she'll put me on the diabetes medication that seems to help a lot of PCOS sufferers get their weight under control

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing a part of your life with us- it's always so interesting to read how others spend their holiday seasons! And you truly look beautiful in those pictures Obsidian- your hair is stunning- so full and such a gorgeous color. I'll bet your hubby loved it! ;)

I'd just dyed my hair with Henna, so it was looking quite vibrant, and the lighting picked it up too

He did love it! I was worried.... it's a weird thing to do, to give someone pictures of yourself ("here, have photos of me - I'm conceited!") but he did love it

What a coinkydence, I did exactly the same thing as you for gift wrapping (only on the sewing machine), making wrapping cloths and gift bags with ribbon in the side seams. I even also decided there wasn't enough time to embroider tags and would try that next year!

Hopefully the idea will spread and more people will start using reusable wrapping solutions. Christmas paper is such a waste.

Ahh

yes, next year tags will be done, but hey we made a start!!

The bags and bags of paper wrap that get collected at our houses this time of year is insane... I just couldn't continue with it - even if its all recycled.
